Mangaluru Lifeguard and Record-Holder Drowns in Municipal Pool
K. Chandrashekar Rai Surikumaru, a 52-year-old lifeguard and swimming coach who held a Worldwide Book of Records title for underwater somersaults, tragically drowned in a municipal pool in Ladyhill, Mangaluru, on August 10, 2025, during maintenance hours.
