Rameez, a local painter, lost his wife to a severe bout of pneumonia while she was six months pregnant. Although doctors managed to deliver the baby through an emergency surgery to save its life, the mother unfortunately breathed her last.

The newborn infant, barely a month old, is currently undergoing intensive treatment in the ICU at Manipal Hospital. Rameez, the sole breadwinner of the family, has already exhausted his meager savings and borrowed heavily in a failed attempt to save his wife. Now, he faces a daunting medical bill of ₹8 Lakhs to keep his newborn alive.
