BASRUR: The student council investiture ceremony and the inauguration of various school clubs were recently held at St. Philip Neri Central School, Basrur.

The event was formally inaugurated with a symbolic butterfly-themed message, encouraging students to maintain continuity in learning, embrace transformative self-confidence, and give wings to their talents and dreams.

Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, Rev. Fr. Alwyn D’Souza (Ralwin Fernandes), Principal of St. Mary’s Institutions, Kundapura, emphasized to the students that leadership is not about power but a dynamic responsibility. He motivated the newly elected student leaders to cultivate essential qualities of discipline, dedication, and a spirit of service.

The program was presided over by the Joint Secretary of the institution, Rev. Fr. Roy Lobo. School Principal Dancy Sunil Martis was also present on the dais.

Co-teacher Shanthi Pramila welcomed the gathering, while students Preksha and Abdul Ahad efficiently compered the program. Event coordinators Fara and Sujata, along with members of the school management, teaching staff, parents, and students, witnessed the ceremony.
