BENGALURU: The Bengaluru police on Monday arrested a delivery executive for allegedly entering a woman’s apartment without her permission and sexually harassing her under the pretext of using her washroom. The accused has been identified as Vijay Mallikarjun Kamath.

The incident was reported within the limits of the Marathahalli Police Station, where an official case was registered based on the victim’s formal complaint. The police have registered Case No. 345/2026 under Sections 75, 79, and 329(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Confirming the arrest, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Whitefield Division) stated that legal proceedings have been initiated and further investigation is underway.

The distressing incident came to light after the woman shared her harrowing experience on social media. According to her statement, the delivery executive had arrived at her flat to deliver a parcel. After handing over the package, he requested permission to use her washroom.

Despite the woman refusing his request multiple times and suggesting he seek help from male neighbors if it was an emergency, the executive ignored her objections. He removed his slippers and walked straight into her flat without her consent.
