BENGALURU: In recognition of their behavioural reform and discipline during incarceration, the Governor has issued an order granting premature release to 24 life convicts from the Parappana Agrahara Central Prison in Bengaluru and other penal facilities across Karnataka.

The prisoners, who were serving life sentences in various state jails, were released after their rehabilitation progress was reviewed under the State’s official remission policy. A formal release ceremony was organized at the Parappana Agrahara Central Prison complex to mark their exit.

Home Minister Priyank Kharge attended the event as the chief guest and distributed the official release orders to the inmates.
