Event to be inaugurated by Justice Santosh Hegde and Minister Mankal Vaidya; over 1,000 delegates expected from across Karnataka.

Bhatkal: Tanzeem Bhatkal President Inayathulla Shabhandri Invited as Chief Guest for State-Level Journalists' Seminar and Awards Ceremony

Bhatkal, January 22, 2026 — The Kanipa Bhatkal team visited Bhatkal Tanzeem President Inayathulla Shabhandri at the Tanzeem office on Wednesday evening and extended a formal invitation to him as the chief guest for the state-level Journalists’ Seminar and State Awards Presentation Ceremony scheduled for January 28, 2026.

The invitation was also extended to Tanzeem General Secretary Abdul Raqeeb M.J. during the same meeting.

The event, organised under the auspices of Karnataka Working Journalists’ Voice – Bhatkal Unit, will be held at Nagayaksha Dharmartha Sabha Bhavan in Bhatkal. The programme will have the presence of Shri Maruti Guruji.

The ceremony will be inaugurated by retired Supreme Court Justice and former Lokayukta Santosh Hegde and Uttara Kannada District In-charge Minister Mankal Vaidya.

Special invitees include Karnataka Working Journalists’ Voice state president, Guarantee News chief Radha Hiregowda, and Shri Gangadhar Modaliyar.

Other dignitaries expected to attend include former Minister Shivanand Naik, Bhatkal Tanzeem President Inayathulla Shabhandri, High Court Advocate Nagendra Naik, Supreme Court Advocate Manjunath, Nagayaksha Temple Dharmadarshi Shri Ramadas Prabhu, and several other prominent figures.

The programme will feature various cultural events, an interactive session with Justice Santosh Hegde for students, presentation of state awards to achievers across Karnataka, talent recognition for students, and special honours for newspaper distributors.

Representatives from all 28 districts of Karnataka Working Journalists’ Voice, along with over 1,000 office-bearers from more than 200 taluks, are expected to participate in the grand event.
