Bigg Boss Kannada 12 Filming Halted in Bengaluru Over Environmental Violations

Bengaluru, October 7, 2025 – The highly anticipated Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 has been forced to pause production after the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) ordered an immediate shutdown of the Bidadi studio for failing to obtain mandatory consents under water and air pollution laws.

The KSPCB notice, as reported by PTI, cites violations of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The studio, used for large-scale entertainment operations, lacked Consent for Establishment and Consent for Operation. The board has directed the production to cease all activities and submit a detailed explanation within the stipulated timeframe, warning of penal action for non-compliance.

Hosted by Kiccha Sudeep for the twelfth season, Bigg Boss Kannada premiered on September 28, 2025, airing on Colors Kannada and streaming live on JioCinema with new and past episodes. Fans are awaiting clarity on the resumption of filming.
