Brahmavara, January 28, 2026: Alva’s cultural programmes not only entertain but also carry the message of preserving our culture and arts. No other country in the world possesses the human wealth that India has. Our nation is recognised globally for its rich cultural activities, which hold immense pride and heritage, said Dr. Mohan Alva, President of Alva’s Foundation.

He was speaking while presiding over the Alva’s Sanskritika Vaibhava programme held on Tuesday at the Keerti Shesha Dr. B.B. Shetty Vedike in Gandhi Maidan, Brahmavara, under the joint auspices of Alva’s Nudisiri Virasat Brahmavara Unit and Brahmavara Foundation.

Dr. Mohan Alva said: “Civilisation has existed for five thousand years. During this period, approximately 36,000 ragas have been discovered, along with countless musical instruments. It is our responsibility to preserve all of this. We are making efforts in this direction. Alva’s Nudisiri Virasat has established 88 units across the country to reach India’s cultural grandeur to the people.”

Industrialist Anand C. Kundar, who inaugurated the programme, said: “Discipline and diversity are the reasons behind the success of Alva’s Nudisiri events. The credit goes to Dr. Mohan Alva for transforming 35,000 students into disciplined artists.”

Sahitya and thinker Dr. Niketan and Arooru Timmappa Shetty also addressed the gathering.
