Brahmavara, January 30, 2026: Brahmavara police have arrested two individuals accused of uploading content on social media platforms that promotes hatred between religious communities.

The arrested persons are Santosh Kumar Shetty (56) from Moodu Garadi Road, Waramballi village, Brahmavar, and K. Nagaraj (62) from Haladi Road, Koteshwara village.

A case was registered against them at Brahmavara Police Station on January 29 following complaints that they shared videos and posts designed to incite enmity between religions.

The operation was conducted under the guidance of Udupi DYSP Prabhu D.T. and Brahmavara Circle Inspector Gopikrishna. Brahmavara Police Sub-Inspector Ashok Malabagi, Sudarshan Doddamani, and station staff carried out the arrests.
