GANGOLLI: A mindset of encouraging noble deeds is essential for contributing effectively to the development of society, said J. Gopal Poojary, President of the Gangolli Billava Hitarakshana Vedike. He was presiding over the 6th annual book distribution ceremony for Billava students, organized by the Vedike at the Saraswathi Vidyalaya Higher Primary School in Gangolli on Sunday, July 12.

The event was formally inaugurated by Raghunath Poojary, the Pathri of Shri Seethali Navadurga Temple. Mamata Poojary, Vice President of the Shri Narayana Guru Jana Seva Balaga, extended her best wishes to the students. Mutha Kundar, retired manager of Gangolli Service Co-operative Bank, along with fisheries entrepreneurs Lakshman Billava and Sanjeeva Billava, were present on the occasion to motivate the young learners.

During the program, free books and study materials were distributed to more than 70 students to support their education. The event commenced with a prayer by Sakshi and Rishvitha. Narendra S. Gangolli, a lecturer at Saraswathi Vidyalaya Pre-University College, compered the program and delivered the vote of thanks.
