Gangolli, September 7, 2025: The coastal town of Gangolli in Kundapur taluk marked the 1500th anniversary of Prophet Muhammad’s birthday with a grand Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebration on Sunday, September 7, 2025.

The streets of Gangolli were adorned with vibrant lights, banners, and festive decorations, creating a joyous atmosphere. Jamiya Mohalla glowed with colorful illuminations, setting the stage for a spectacular evening procession. The rally, a highlight of the celebration, featured captivating performances by the Sultan Mohalla Duff Team, Kalandar Shah Duff Committee (Manipura Kapu), Noorul Huda Duff Committee (Kodi), and the Shirur Duff Team, drawing widespread admiration. The procession began at Jamiya Mohalla, proceeded through the main street to Gangolli’s last bus stop, passed through Badriya Mohalla, and returned, with community members actively participating and displaying banners to express their devotion and support.

The Eid Milad Committee, led by President Abdul Rasheed (Sultan Mohalla), Vice President Ibrahim Khaleel (Jamiya Mohalla), Secretary Fawaz Khalife (Mubarak Mohalla), Joint Secretary Zaheer Ahmed Nakhuda (Nakhuda Mohalla), and Treasurer Mohammed Jalal (Rehmania Mohalla), meticulously organized the event, ensuring its success. The youth and elders of Gangolli participated with immense enthusiasm, filling the town with a festive spirit.

This year’s celebration held special significance, commemorating 1500 years since the Prophet’s birth, making it a landmark event for Gangolli’s Muslim community. The procession and associated programs attracted large crowds, fostering unity and reverence for the Prophet’s teachings.
