Udupi, March 24, 2026: In a significant healthcare achievement, the Gangolli Gram Panchayat has been honored with the ‘TB-Free Gram Panchayat’ Gold Medal on the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day 2026.

The award ceremony was organized jointly by the District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, Health and Family Welfare Department, District TB Elimination Office, and the District Legal Services Authority at the District Health Office hall on Tuesday. The event also marked the official launch of the ‘TB-Free Bharat 100-Day Campaign.’ Representatives of the Gangolli Panchayat accepted the gold medal on behalf of the village.

Panchayat President Jayanthi Kharvi took to social media to express her gratitude, thanking the Vice-President, Panchayat Development Officer (PDO), Secretary, all members, and the staff. She particularly lauded the relentless efforts of the healthcare officials, frontline workers, and the general public of Gangolli for their cooperation in reaching this prestigious milestone.
