Gangolli, February 3, 2026: The 32nd annual function of Panchagangavali Balaga Bandaru, along with the 22nd academic year scholarship and merit award distribution under the Panchagangavali Vidyānidhi scheme, was held at the Panjurli Daivasthana courtyard in Gangolli on Wednesday.

Dr. Chetan Shetty Kovadi, Vice-Principal of Dr. B.B. Hegde First Grade College, Kundapur, presided over the event. Chief guests Suryakanth Kharvi (Manager, Kundapur Town Municipality), Ankit Shetty (Director, Kota Parsin Fishermen Primary Service Cooperative Society), G. Gopal Poojari (President, Gangolli Shri Narayan Guru Janaseva Balaga), Dr. Saptami K. Maravanthe, and Clinical Dietician M. Manila extended best wishes.

On the occasion, renowned pearl diver and social worker Ishwar Malpe and diver Dinesh Kharvi were honoured with felicitations. Ten students who excelled in the current academic year under the Panchagangavali Vidyānidhi scheme were recognised with merit awards and scholarships. Additionally, 15 economically weaker families received financial assistance under the Panchagangavali Swasthya Nidhi scheme.

The event was attended by Panchagangavali Sahakari Credit Cooperative Society Gangolli President Narasimha Devadiga, Gangolli fisherman Raghvendra Mesta Gujjadi, Yogesh Arkati, and other dignitaries.
