Representing the district at the prestigious Khelo India Tribal Games 2026 held in Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, these athletes have clinched gold medals, bringing pride to the entire region.

The Golden Achievers:

Rohan Doddamani: Son of a mid-day meal assistant at Tattwanagi Government School, Rohan secured gold in the 60kg Greco-Roman category by defeating Rajasthan’s Dinesh Solan. A BA student at Dandeli Government College, Rohan’s 12 years of rigorous training finally paid off.
Manisha Siddi: Hailing from Jatga Hosur village, Manisha triumphed over Himachal Pradesh’s Muskan in the 76kg Women’s Freestyle category. Her victory is a testament to breaking social barriers for rural girls in sports.
Princita Siddi Fernandes: A daughter of a construction worker from Gadagera, Princita won gold in the 68kg Freestyle category. Despite extreme poverty, her determination and professional training at JSW helped her become a national champion.
