Honnavar: Theft of All Four Tyres from Maruti Omni Vehicle

On the night of August 23–24, 2025, thieves stole all four tyres, including rims, from a Maruti Omni belonging to Satish Shetty in Kasturaba Nagar, Shirasi, Honnavar. The victim reported the theft to Honnavar police, who have registered a case and initiated an investigation.

Honnavar, August 26, 2025 – A theft incident was reported in Kasturaba Nagar, Shirasi, Honnavar, where unknown perpetrators stole all four tyres, along with their rims, from a Maruti Omni vehicle owned by Satish Shetty. The theft occurred between 6:30 PM on Saturday, August 23, 2025, and 8:30 AM on Sunday, August 24, 2025. Satish Shetty promptly filed a complaint at the Honnavar Police Station, leading to the registration of a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023, likely Section 305 for theft, which carries a penalty of up to two years imprisonment, a fine, or both.
