KOTESHWARA: Well-known journalist and television anchor Akshatha Girish has been elected as the new President of the Rotary Club Koteshwara, making her the first-ever woman to hold the prestigious post in the history of the club. Alongside her, young entrepreneur Arun Devadiga has been elected as the new Secretary.

The newly elected President, Akshatha Girish, has carved a niche for herself in coastal media as a reporter for ‘Udupi Times’ and as an accomplished public event and television presenter. She also brings extensive leadership experience in community service, having previously served as the President of JCI Kundapura, Zone Vice President of JCI, and President of the Lions An Club Koteshwara. Currently, she is also serving as the Honorary Secretary of the Kundapura Taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishat.

The newly appointed Secretary, Arun Devadiga, is a successful young entrepreneur and the proprietor of Yashaswi Shamiyana. He has a strong background in rotary services, having successfully served as the President of the Rotaract Club in the past.
