Kundapur: House Burglary; Gold, Cash Worth ₹95,000 Stolen

Kundapur: House Burglary; Gold, Cash Worth ₹95,000 Stolen

Kundapur, January 26, 2026: Burglars broke into a house in the Katkeri Mepu area of Koni village, Kundapur taluk, and decamped with gold jewellery, a watch, and cash totalling approximately ₹95,000.

The incident occurred between 11:00 PM on January 23 and 1:30 AM on January 26. The house belongs to Atika B. (63) and her husband Iddeen Saheb, residents of Mepu Katkeri in Koni village.

According to the complaint, unknown thieves broke the lock on the main door, entered the house, and ransacked the cupboard. They stole:

  • 3 grams of gold ring (approx. ₹15,000)
  • 4 grams of gold coin (approx. ₹40,000)
  • Watch worth ₹20,000
  • Cash ₹20,000

The total value of the stolen items is estimated at ₹95,000.

A case has been registered at Kundapur Police Station (Crime No. 06/2026) under Sections 331(3), 331(4), and 305 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police have launched an investigation.
