Kundapura, January 31, 2026: A 51-year-old man tragically drowned0 after slipping and falling into a well while attempting to repair a submersible pump at his residence in B.C. Road, Vader Hobli village, on the morning of January 30.

The deceased has been identified as Nagaraj (51), a resident of B.C. Road in Vader Hobli. According to reports, Nagaraj descended into the well to fix the submersible pump installed inside it. In the process, he accidentally lost his footing, fell into the water, and drowned before help could reach him.

Local residents and family members recovered the body from the well and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. A case has been registered at Kundapura Police Station, and an investigation is underway to ascertain the exact circumstances.
