Kundapura, February 1, 2026: As part of the National Road Safety Programme, Kundapura Rural Police Station Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Shankar conducted a detailed awareness session for two-wheeler riders and drivers at Gulwadi – Shetrakatte in Gulwadi village.

ASI Shankar emphasised the importance of strictly following traffic rules to ensure safe riding. He highlighted key safety measures including mandatory helmet usage, adhering to speed limits, avoiding mobile phone use while riding, respecting traffic signals, and exercising caution on the road at all times.

Through this initiative, local two-wheeler riders and drivers gained a better understanding of road safety principles. They were urged to follow rules diligently to prevent accidents and protect their own lives as well as those of others on the road.

The session received positive response from participants, who appreciated the police department’s efforts to promote awareness in high-risk areas prone to two-wheeler accidents.
