Kundapura, April 25, 2026: In a poignant appeal for global harmony, child rights activist and Kannada lecturer Ramanji Nammabhoomi held a solo silent protest at Shastri Circle in Kundapura on Saturday.

The protest, which took place from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, aimed to raise awareness about the devastating impact of war on human lives and the environment. Speaking on the occasion, Ramanji criticized the bureaucratic mindset that triggers global conflicts, leading to the loss of thousands of innocent lives, including children and youth.

To emphasize his message, he used a symbolic representation of a child during his protest to showcase how wars disproportionately affect the younger generation. He stressed that collective efforts are essential to ensure peace across the globe. Before commencing the protest, he offered a floral tribute to the statue of Lal Bahadur Shastri and observed a moment of silence for those killed in recent wars.
