Murdeshwar, June 27: To commemorate the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the Murdeshwar Police Department organized a massive public awareness bike rally aimed at educating the masses, particularly the youth, about the devastating impacts of narcotics on public health and community safety.

The anti-drug awareness initiative was spearheaded directly under the leadership of Bhatkal Circle Police Inspector (CPI) Jagadish and Murdeshwar Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) Hanumantha Biradara. Scores of police personnel operating under the station limits mounted their designated two-wheelers, traversing key thoroughfares, coastal roads, tourism corridors, and rural pockets within the station jurisdiction. During the parade, officers distributed informational literature on substance abuse to commuters and residents.

Throughout the course of the roadshow, personnel appealed passionately to local communities to maintain a strict distance from synthetic drug rings and live a healthy lifestyle. Speaking on the strategic goals of the event, senior police officers remarked, “Eradicating the drug menace is a collective social responsibility. Law enforcement alone cannot win this battle; families and community elders must collaborate with the police department. Constant grass-roots awareness is the ultimate tool to block the penetration of contraband into our educational hubs.”

The entire contingent of assistant sub-inspectors, head constables, and field staff of the Murdeshwar police station participated actively in the rally, ensuring that the critical call for a drug-free, resilient society resonated effectively among the public.
