Udupi: Dr. Rizwan Ahmed Takes Oath as New President of Namma Nada Okkoota Central Committee

dupi, January 24, 2026 — The oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected Central Committee of Namma Nada Okkoota (NNO) was held on Friday evening, January 23, 2026, at Hotel Ranjitha Palace, Manipal Inn, Udupi. The programme began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an.

Vice President Saleem Baji delivered the welcome address, followed by the presentation of the annual report by General Secretary Maulana Zameer Ahmed Rashadi. Election Officer Naqwa Yahya Malpe then officially announced the formation of the new Central Committee for the two-year term 2026–27.

Outgoing President Mohammed Saleem Moodubidire handed over charge and addressed the gathering, reflecting on the organisation’s achievements and challenges during his tenure. Newly elected President Dr. Rizwan Ahmed Karkala formally assumed office, took the oath, and spoke about the vision, priorities, and future plans of Namma Nada Okkoota to strengthen community welfare, empowerment, and unity in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.

The ceremony included a detailed discussion on forthcoming programmes and initiatives planned for the coming months. Vice President Hussain Haikady proposed the vote of thanks.

Joint Secretary Advocate Sheikh Ishaq, Treasurer Peeru Saheb Udupi, and other Central Committee members along with office-bearers from various districts and taluks were present on the occasion.
