KUMTA: In a stellar display of community service and organizational excellence, the Rotary Club of Kumta has bagged 15 prestigious awards at the 67th Rotary District 3170 Conference, titled ‘Runaanubandha,’ held recently in Kolhapur. The awards recognize the club’s consistent efforts in implementing impactful social welfare projects.
Major Wins in Individual and Club Categories: For the year 2024-25, Rotary Club Kumta was honored with the ‘Best Club’ award. The leadership team also excelled in individual categories:
- Rtn. Atul Kamath was named ‘Best President’.
- Rtn. CA Vinayaka Hegde received the ‘Best Secretary’ award.
- Rtn. Jayashree Kamath was honored with the ‘District Service Award’.
Impactful Projects & Global Grants: The district administration highlighted the club’s successful completion of two ‘Global Grant’ projects and its significant contributions to the Endowment Fund. The donors behind the club’s first endowment gift were also specially recognized and commended by the District Governor.
A Team Effort: Attributing the success to collective hard work, President Rtn. Atul Kamath said, “This achievement belongs to every Rotarian of our club. Under the leadership of District Governor Rtn. Sharad Pai and the guidance of Assistant Governor Rtn. Stephen Rodriguez, we will continue our mission of ‘Service Together, Achievement Together’.”
