Bengaluru, September 19, 2025 – The Karnataka government has announced Dasara holidays for all students in government, aided, and private schools across the state from September 20 to October 7, 2025, bringing festive cheer to schoolchildren. An official order has been issued by the state government to this effect.
The Department of School Education has already released a comprehensive guideline for the 2025-26 academic year, detailing holidays and school activities. As per these guidelines, the Dasara holidays have been scheduled. The second term of classes will commence on October 8, 2025, and continue until April 10, 2026.
The 18-day holiday period aligns with the world-famous Mysuru Dasara Mahotsava, allowing students to participate in and enjoy the cultural festivities. The Education Department encourages children to immerse themselves in the vibrant celebrations of the state’s iconic festival during this break.
