Bhatkal, April 21, 2026: The Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) Bhatkal Unit, in collaboration with Shams PU College, successfully conducted a comprehensive Career Counselling Program for students of Grades 10, 11, and 12 on April 19. The event was meticulously planned to empower students with the knowledge required to make informed decisions about their academic future and to help them understand various professional pathways available in the modern world.

The program featured three distinguished resource persons who shared their expertise across diverse fields. Dr. Abdullah Yahya Zaawari, a PhD scholar from MAHE, Manipal, provided in-depth insights into the medical and research sectors. Meanwhile, Prof. Avvad Chamundi from NIT Calicut guided the students on emerging opportunities in science, technology, and advanced research. Complementing these technical fields, Moulana Abdul Rafe Nadwi enlightened the students about the vast scope and enduring importance of humanities and social sciences.

A significant highlight of the program was the interactive one-to-one counselling session, which allowed students to engage directly with the experts.
