Udupi, August 21, 2025 – The Udupi Zilla Panchayat, under its 2025-26 Beekeeping Scheme, has announced a two-day training program to encourage apiculture among farmers in Udupi, Kapu, and Brahmavar taluks. The initiative aims to provide technical knowledge and support to enhance beekeeping as a sustainable agricultural practice, contributing to both economic growth and environmental conservation.
Interested farmers are required to register their names by August 25, 2025. For further details and registration, they can contact the Horticulture Department at mobile numbers 8095991105 and 9008284192, as stated in a press release from the Senior Assistant Director of Horticulture’s office.
This program aligns with similar efforts across Karnataka, such as beekeeping training initiatives in districts like Mysuru and Chamarajanagar, which have promoted apiculture to boost farmers’ income and support pollination for better crop yields.
