The integration of speed radar cameras at six highway locations in Udupi has led to a sharp decline in traffic offenses. Daily overspeeding counts dropped from 5,000 to under 1,700 cases as police impose fines of ₹1,000 for cars and ₹2,000 for heavy vehicles to improve safety.
