Udupi: Applications Invited for Lifeguard Training at Key Beaches

Udupi: Applications Invited for Lifeguard Training at Key Beaches

Udupi, January 22, 2026 — The Department of Tourism, Udupi district, has invited applications from eligible candidates for lifeguard training to deploy trained personnel at major beaches across the district.

The training is being conducted to ensure safety at Paduvari Someshwara Beach, Trasi-Maravanthe Beach, Asare Beach, Malpe Beach, St. Mary’s Island, Kapu Beach, and Padubidri Main Beach.

Interested candidates aged between 18 and 40 years, capable of running 1 km and swimming 400 metres, can register on February 2, 2026, by 9:00 AM at Mahatma Gandhi District Stadium (Swimming Pool), Udupi.

Selected candidates will undergo 6 days of intensive lifeguard training.
