KUNDAPURA: Facilitating smooth documentation and addressing public concerns regarding the ongoing state-wide Special Intensive Revision (SIR-2026) of the electoral rolls, a dedicated Voter Help Desk (SIR Help Desk) has been launched at the Vandse Gram Panchayat office effective from July 3.

The statutory SIR process is being stringently executed across Karnataka from June 30 to July 29, during which Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are conducting door-to-door visits to distribute Enumeration Forms. All registered voters are mandated to systematically fill out and return these forms to their respective officers on or before July 29, 2026.

Crucially, the form requires citizens to provide their voter enrollment details from the legacy 2002 electoral roll. In cases where an applicant’s name was not registered in the 2002 database, they must provide the historical verification details of their father, mother, paternal grandfather, or maternal grandmother. Because fetching these archived details and filling out the criteria has proven to be technically challenging for many rural voters, the Vandse Gram Panchayat has established this institutional support desk to prevent discrepancies.
