GANGOLLI: Continuing its mission of social empowerment, Yakshagana Kalaranga Udupi has successfully completed and handed over its 86th house to the family of a deserving student under its ‘Vidyaposhak’ wing. The new residence, titled ‘Lalitha Sadana’, was inaugurated in Gangolli on Tuesday.
The Beneficiary & The Donor: The beneficiary, Nisarga, is a first-year PUC student whose academic potential was identified by the organization. The house, built at a cost of approximately ₹7 lakh, was sponsored by A. Bhaskara Bhat, the retired Headmaster of SVST High School, Kidiyur, as a tribute to his mother.

Inauguration by Kaniyooru Seer: Sri Vidyavallabha Tirtha Swamiji of Kaniyooru Matha formally inaugurated the house. Handing over the keys to Nisarga’s parents, Raghavendra Kharvi and Reshma, the Seer lauded Yakshagana Kalaranga for its dual commitment to art and social welfare, particularly its efforts in ensuring education for the underprivileged.
Donor Bhaskara Bhat expressed his fulfillment in being able to contribute through the organization. The event was attended by Gram Panchayat President Jayanthi Kharvi and several executive members of Yakshagana Kalaranga, including President M. Gangadhara Rao and Secretary Murali Kadekar.
