KALABURAGI: Taking disciplinary action over a major safety lapse, the Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKRTC) has suspended a bus driver and two technical staff members after a video surfaced showing a state-run bus being navigated at night using a mobile phone torchlight.

The incident took place on July 4, involving a Chincholi depot bus (Registration: KA-28 F-1985) operating on the Kalaburagi – Chincholi route. The video of the dangerously driven bus had gone viral on social media platforms, sparking severe public criticism over passenger safety.
