Kundapura, June 28: Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara, along with his wife, visited the Kollur Sri Mookambika Temple on Sunday morning to offer special prayers and participate in the Chandika Homa. Following the darshan, the temple management committee honored the Deputy Chief Minister with temple prasadam and a memento.

Speaking to the media after his visit, Dr. Parameshwara announced that a comprehensive ‘Master Plan’ has been drafted to upgrade infrastructure at Kollur. The development plan will focus on enhancing facilities for devotees, including streamlined darshan queues, expanded vehicle parking, and improved accommodation units.

Addressing the issue of encroachment on temple properties under the Muzrai department, the Deputy Chief Minister stated that explicit directives have been issued to the Muzrai Commissioner and respective District Collectors (DCs) to clear all illegal encroachments and initiate strict legal action.
