Kundapur, August 27, 2025 – The Kundapur-Byndoor unit of the Dakshina Kannada-Udupi Mobile Retailers Association was established during a meeting held at the Vishwabrahmana Samaja Seva Sangha hall in Kundapur. Mahesh Poojari, owner of Smart Tech, Navunda, was unanimously elected as president, and Karunakara Acharya Maravanthe of M2K Mobile, Kundapur, was appointed as secretary. The formation of the taluk-level committee under the guidance of the Udupi union aims to address challenges faced by mobile repair and retail businesses, including financial strain due to unhealthy competition and market difficulties.
The meeting highlighted the need for a unified organization to tackle these issues and foster sustainable business practices. Other key appointments include Irshad of Classic Mobile, Kundapur, as honorary president; Prakash Pai of Mahammayi Mobile, Koteshwar, and Macha Mogaveera, Shirur, as honorary advisors; and Raghavendra of Shri Tech, Ravi Shetty Shri Benaka, Bidkal Katte, and Nagendra Naik of Ocean Mobile, Uppunda, as vice presidents. Additional members include Suresh Sannidi (Koteshwar), Rahul Vighnash (Thekkatte), Ashok Sai Communication, Vidyadar Shine (Koteshwar), Mohammad Ashraf Cell In Town (Byndoor), Anil K Shine (Kundapur), Rajesh Mobile Palace, Noushad Speed Mobile, Salman Mobile King, Gopal Jahnavi (Vandse), Ajit Durga Mobile (Siddapur), Prakash Omkar (Gangolli), Mustafa Mobile X (Kundapur), Prakash Poojari J.K Mobile, and Nitin Mobile Garage (Kota).
