Kundapur, April 23, 2026: A group of youths caused a disturbance in a public place late Tuesday night at Hattiyangadi, leading to a police intervention and the arrest of two individuals. The incident occurred within the limits of the Kundapur Rural Police Station.

Around 11:30 PM on Tuesday, Sub-Inspector Niranjana Gowda B.S., who was on night patrol, noticed a group of young men engaged in a heated argument and a physical brawl near the Marala Devi Temple bus stand in Hattiyangadi. As the police approached the spot, seven members of the group managed to flee, while two were apprehended.

The arrested youths are identified as Prajwal (19) and Abhishek (24), both residents of Golikere in Hattiyangadi. The police have identified the absconding individuals as Rohit, Karthik, and Satvik from Koteshwara, and Shashank, Dilip, Samarth, and Srujan from Hattikudru in Basrur.

A case has been registered at the Kundapur Rural Police Station under Crime No. 22/2026 and Section 194(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for disturbing public peace. Further investigation is underway to track down the remaining suspects.
