Kundapura: Indian Red Cross Society Distributes Mosquito Nets and Sanitary Pads to Girls’ Hostel Students

On August 27, 2025, the Kundapur Taluk Unit of the Indian Red Cross Society distributed mosquito nets and sanitary pads to students at six backward class girls’ hostels in Kundapura, Hangaluru, Amasebailu, Shankaranarayana, Keduru, and Byndoor, promoting health and hygiene.

Kundapura, August 27, 2025 – The Kundapur Taluk Unit of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) conducted a distribution drive, providing mosquito nets and sanitary pads to students residing in six backward class girls’ hostels across Kundapura, Hangaluru, Amasebailu, Shankaranarayana, Keduru, and Byndoor. The initiative aimed to enhance health and hygiene for the students, addressing key needs in underserved communities.

The event was attended by IRCS Kundapur Unit President S. Jayakar Shetty, Treasurer Shivarama Shetty, Governing Council member Seetharama Shetty, Taluk Health Officer Premananda K., and hostel supervisor Ashadevi.
