Kundapura, April 10, 2026: Under the aegis of Namma Nada Okkuta (R) and Namma Nada Okkuta Community Centre, a program was organized at the Kundapura Traffic Police Station premises to hand over traffic barricades for better management of the town’s traffic flow.

Speaking on the occasion, Traffic Sub-Inspector Anup Nayak stated, “With the daily increase in vehicle volume in Kundapura, maintaining smooth traffic is a challenge. Responding to our request, Namma Nada Okkuta has provided three well-equipped barricades. I extend my heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the department and personally to Hussain Haikady and the team.” Sub-Inspector Sudha Prabhu also appreciated the organization for its continued support.

Vice President of the Okkuta, Hussain Haikady said, “Our primary focus has always been education. We identify underprivileged students who have dropped out or are struggling to pay fees and provide them with the necessary financial support to ensure they continue their schooling. Along with education, we actively promote sports talent in the region,” he stated.

Explaining the rationale behind the donation, he added, “When Sub-Inspectors Anup and Sudha Prabhu expressed the need for barricades to manage the increasing traffic and ensure pedestrian safety, we felt it was our duty to respond. Their dedication to improving the station’s efficiency is commendable. By providing these three barricades, we hope to facilitate smoother movement for buses, private vehicles, and the general public. I urge other organizations to also come forward and support such civic initiatives.”

The ceremony was attended by General Secretary Maulana Zamir Ahmed Rashadi, Treasurer Peer Mohammed Udupi, Udupi District Vice President Mohammed Rafiq BSF, Organizing Secretary Nihar Ahmed, Members Shaban Hangalur and Mansoor Ibrahim. Also present were Kundapura Unit President Jamal Gulwadi, Hebri Unit President Anwar Hosangadi, Sub-Inspector Sudha Prabhu, and other police staff members.
