KUWAIT CITY: The Embassy of India in Kuwait has issued an urgent advisory announcing that due to administrative reasons, routine Indian consular, passport, and visa services will remain heavily restricted. Until Sunday, July 19, 2026, the embassy will entertain ONLY emergency requests backed by explicit supporting documents proving the urgent nature of the application.

Scope of Emergency Services: According to the official circular, permissible emergency operations will be strictly limited to the issuance of Tatkal Passports, NRI Certificates, short-validity passports for applicants whose Civil IDs are on the verge of expiring, Emergency Certificates, and E-Visas. Routine administrative tasks, including regular passport renewals, document attestations, and standard visa processing, will be temporarily suspended and not accepted during this timeframe.

Application Centers Suspended: Furthermore, no Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) will accept general applications until further notice, freezing regular operational channels.
