Belagavi, April 23, 2026: Prarthana Nagappa Biradar Patil, a student of the Government High School in Katageri village, Athani taluk, has achieved a monumental feat in the 2026 SSLC examinations. She scored a perfect 625/625, emerging as one of the state toppers and bringing immense glory to government educational institutions.

A total of seven students across Karnataka achieved the perfect score this year. Prarthana’s success is being celebrated as a testament to the quality of education in government schools. Chikkodi DDPI Sitaram expressed his joy, stating that her hard work has put the Chikkodi educational district on the state map.

The overall state pass percentage stands at 94.5%.
Coastal districts dominated the rankings, with Dakshina Kannada securing the 1st place, followed by Udupi (2nd) and Uttara Kannada (3rd). Kalaburagi recorded the lowest pass percentage.
This year, the government awarded marks instead of grades for the third language subjects.
Girls have once again outperformed boys in the overall results.
