New Delhi, April 21, 2026: The Special Cell of Delhi Police has successfully dismantled a terror module linked to Pakistan-based operative Shahzad Bhatti by arresting two of his associates. The accused were allegedly involved in a high-level conspiracy to carry out grenade attacks, targeted assassinations, and firing incidents across the Delhi-NCR region.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Rajveer (21) and Vivek Banjara (19), both hailing from Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh. According to DCP Praveen Kumar Tripathi, the duo was recruited through social media platforms by Bhatti’s proxies and was lured with financial incentives to execute acts of violence.

Investigations revealed that the operatives had already conducted a recce of potential targets and were planning to attack a prominent hotel in Delhi and a club in Zirakpur. The police recovered a pistol and several live rounds from the suspects. Digital evidence found on their mobile phones, including incriminating voice notes and videos, further confirmed their direct link to ISI-backed handlers. The Special Cell’s swift action has prevented a significant security threat to the national capital.
