Udupi, May 16, 2026: In a tragic road accident, a 12-year-old schoolboy lost his life after being struck by a speeding car while crossing the road near the 6th cross of Jyothi Nagar in Nejar, Udupi.

Details of the Incident: The deceased boy has been identified as Abdul Rehman, a resident of Nejar. According to local sources, the incident occurred when Abdul Rehman was attempting to cross the road. A car, reportedly driven at a high speed, knocked him down with tremendous force. The impact of the collision left the child critically injured on the spot, bleeding profusely.
