Udupi, August 27, 2025 – Continuous heavy rainfall over the past few days led to a landslide on Kollur Ghat Road in Udupi district, with soil from an adjacent hill collapsing onto the roadway on the morning of August 27, 2025. The incident has raised concerns about potential traffic disruptions on this critical route, which connects coastal areas to the temple town of Kollur.

Officials from the relevant department, along with local police, promptly arrived at the site and initiated debris clearance operations to restore normal traffic flow.
