Doha, Qatar, January 31, 2026: Imran Koteshwara, a tennis-ball cricket sensation from Koteshwara village in Kundapur taluk, Udupi district, emerged as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Asian Cricket League (ACL) Season 4 in Doha, Qatar. The tournament concluded yesterday (30 January 2026) with a spectacular finale.

Playing for Hannan Karnataka Royals, Imran scored 126 runs across the competition and delighted crowds with his signature magnificent reverse sweep sixes, showcasing explosive power-hitting and flair that have made him a legend in Gulf tennis-ball cricket over the past two decades. Known as the “King of Tennis Ball Cricket” among fans, his electrifying presence on the field has earned him widespread admiration across Qatar and the region.

The ACL, organised to promote grassroots cricket among Asians living in Qatar, features teams representing various nationalities and regional identities. It has grown into one of the most anticipated cricket events in the Gulf diaspora, known for its competitive matches, enthusiastic crowds, and significant prize money.

Despite Hannan Karnataka Royals not winning the championship, Imran’s outstanding individual performance secured him the MVP title. He was awarded a brand-new bike, a trophy, a cricket bat sponsored by MS Sports, a trolley bag, and a gift bag.
